The King's Speech

I went to see The King's Speech yesterday. I knew it had won few Oscar nominations and had seen the trailer, but boy, was I underestimating the film still.

It was bloody marvelous. No, really. I urge you all to go see it if you haven't already. It's very good, it's entertaining, it captures your attention and I just... I was speechless (hehee) after the film. I don't remember the last time I had enjoyed so much watching a great drama unfold before me. Or wanted to go see it again immediately after it had ended.

And the cast. Quite a few big names there. And it shows on the quality! I mean, people like Helena Bonham Carter (who is magnificent in this!), Geoffrey Rush, Colin Firth, Timothy Spall, Michael Gambon, Guy Pearce, Jennifer Ehle. The list goes on and on.

And okay, I even noticed things like cinematography, the camera moves, the soundtrack. They all were brilliant. It's no wonder it got 12 Oscar nominations.

Okay, enough with the squeeing. Go see the film already!

Yeah! Exactly.

Until next good piece of drama comes along I know I'm going to drive my friends bonkers trying to urge them to see The King's Speech and see it now.

I'm also really hoping it will win in multiple categories tonight. *fingers crossed*
